Licensing Overview

There are two basic and familiar licensing models used to enable the KoiosLT features.  Locating the current applied license, and the state and time remaining can be found by navigating to Configuration -> Licenses. 

Subscription

Our subscription or, Time-Based licensing, is designed to work On-Premises without any external or public network connection.  The license(s) can be uploaded directly from the User Interface and once applied will be valid for the set period of time that the subscription was licensed for.  Each license is applied to specific host and can be set for either a virtual appliance, or a physical machine.  At the end of, or prior to the end of a subscription term, the license file can be exchanged, upgraded, or extended at anytime.

Perpetual

The license file will be issued for an indefinite time period.  This license type will never have to be renewed, and can be issued for either a virtual appliance, or a physical machine.
